Hi there :-) from Oslo, Norway

Got my first piece of leather and a couple of tools two days ago.. wanting to learn :-) I´m usually working woth airbrush, pinstriping and goldleaf and thought shaping leather could be a new passion in the line.. :-) Here is my first atempt

Thanks all :-) I`m looking forwared to get a little thicker leather to test.

Yea Tom, It´s pressed down from the back and then pressed down at the front on the oposit parts.. I`m not sure what I`m doing.. or what technique which is right and so on.. just testing and failing :-) I guess I should read a little to see how it should be done :-)

It looks really cool and I can't imagine what yo can come up with this. Will be interesting to see.

If you shred leather very fine and mix with glue you get what I think is called leather putty wich you can fill the hollow outs in the back to keep it from collapsing over time.

Also check out ClayB's stuff on extreme embossing.

Not sure acually.. or nothing special I guess.. just a first try to see if I managed to do this.. :-) It´s just a test piece

Welcome 276, great to have you here. That's an interesting way of doing what you've done. I like the way it turned out. By looking at some of the tutorials on leather carving, you'll be a master in no time.

Tested out a little more advanced pinstripe motive. I added a litte color as well for contrast, the leather is so thin and I think I would have made a few holes if I kept carving.. :-)
