Contributing Member Ferg Posted August 31, 2010 Contributing Member Report Posted August 31, 2010 Anyone tried/used 32 OZ. FIEBING WAX BURNISHING INK? Description would indicate a good product for edges. LCi only sells their products through distributors. They gave me a list of several but only the phone numbers. So far I haven't found any that carry the edge ink etc. ferg Quote

Ambassador pete Posted September 1, 2010 Ambassador Report Posted September 1, 2010 I was finishing up a project yesterday and was talking while I was finishing. I WAS going to burnish a piece but got distracted and covered the font and edges of a journal with the antique paste. Wiped off the paste, buffed and then realized that the antique(Feibings med brown) was all over the edges. I rubbed them(antique stayed there), then ran a bar of glycerin across it as usual, then buffed with the canvas . I got as good a finish as I ever have! From now on it's my finishing technique! Edge, sand, antique, and canvass. Try it- no edge coat or sharpie, dye etc needed. Want a darker edge, go with dk brown antique. pete Quote
