JRLeather2 Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 I recently got into airsoft combat. Now take into account I made this this afternoon as a prototype. With my arm in a sling, so pretty much one handed........ Quote
Ambassador leatheroo Posted April 28, 2008 Ambassador Report Posted April 28, 2008 nice work, love the skull Quote
Members CitizenKate Posted April 28, 2008 Members Report Posted April 28, 2008 What's "airsoft"? Is that like paintball? Kate Quote
JRLeather2 Posted April 28, 2008 Author Report Posted April 28, 2008 airsoft is a lot like paintball ,except it uses 6MM plastic BB's and the guns are sometimes exact clones of the real thing. Law enforcement even uses them for training. Such as this one..... Quote
Ambassador Beaverslayer Posted April 29, 2008 Ambassador Report Posted April 29, 2008 Cool looking mask Jeff, do those 6mm BB's hurt? Ken Quote
Members cem Posted April 29, 2008 Members Report Posted April 29, 2008 That's pretty neat and the skull has come up really well, the police here would have a heart attack if they saw people running around with those replicas. They have only just allowed legal paintballing here in the last couple of years. Like Beaverslayer asked do those pellets hurt, I played paintball once and got hit in the leg and had a whopper bruise that took a couple of months to heal properly so needless to say I've sooked out everytime my husband has gone to play now. JRLeather2 Posted April 29, 2008 Author Report Posted April 29, 2008 (edited) depending on the FPS of the gun, (Feet Per Second), yeah they sting about like a Bee sting. If you get hit someplace like the face, or the ear it smarts pretty good, hence the face mask. they have distance and FPS rules for inside and outside combat........and they are supposed to have an orange tip on them also........ I don't think it is legal here in Tassy yet! Quote
