Frank Report post Posted September 20, 2010 Joel, I really like those chinks. I'm not a fan of the hair-on chinks but these are pretty nice. The only thing I would have done different is to turn the leather for the pocket a quarter turn to match the directional grain of dark hair on the body, unless you did that to make the pocket stand out more. In that case, you're a thinker! Frank
GrampaJoel Report post Posted September 21, 2010 FrankThe only thing I would have done different is to turn the leather for the pocket a quarter turn to match the directional grain of dark hair on the body Well to tell the truth, I did think about that. As you can see I chose to go against the grain to make the pocket stand out. All my latest chinks have pockets that stand out from the chink body. I'm really pushing chinks with pockets for the riders with cell phones. That way if someone should fall or there is some sort of an accident the cell phone will most likely be there to use. I also am selling my chinks below the market to get more chinks out and in use by our local riders. We need some spiffen up around here! Thanks for taking a look, and the thoughts and suggestions.
