Anyone here familiar with this particular machine? I looked it up everywhere but i couldn't find anything on it.There is a gentleman here that has one up for sale but i want to do my homework before i make a move...lol...I am pretty much interested to know if the machine can actually work with thread over #277 and stitch 3/8in thickness(or even thicker) ?

Thanks !

I found a 231k for sale in Bramton. It is a walking foot with 20mm under the foot. It looks as though it will sew 3/8 inch very easily. Take a piece of material that

you are going to sew and go try the machine out if it isn't to far

I have been in the trade for 68 years and have not come across a Singer 231K machine and I can find no reference to one in my needle reference books. There is a 231- machine made in USA which is a feed off arm machine. This is not a walking foot machine.

Have done a little research and asked around and have concluded that the wrong class number has been given and the machine is probably a 132k6 ( reverse the number) if it is a walking foot.
