DJ1935 Report post Posted September 23, 2010 Can someone please tell me how I get an order to Ohio Travel Bag. Sounds simple enough I know. I have an account but cant seem to get their shopping cart to work from this end of the earth. I have sent an order by email previously and eventually got the order landed here. However this time I sent the order and have got no where. No answers to my emails, nothing. Are they on the same planet as the rest of us or do they have so much business that they dont want any more? Most frustrating! Is there another supplier of bag hardware? BAD HIDE Report post Posted September 23, 2010 I did their new customer request thing about a month ago and never heard back from them, so I just sent in another tonight. I know I'm small time, but if you're going to put the forms online, you might wanna have someone check them.

kc8290 Report post Posted September 23, 2010 It is cumbersome to order on line but here is how i do it. Login to your account. Then from the "Ordering" menu select "New Order" Then click on "Ship Here" . This is kind of strange but that will take you to the catelog area. Then you select the page number of the item your purchasing and ad items to the kart , etc. From time to time when I submit the order I get a server error and I have to call them to see if they got the order. It is a hassle. I think you can also place orders over the phone which could be easiers but you will want the part number/s and page number at hand. BAD HIDE Report post Posted September 24, 2010 Ok, they got back to me this time, so I'm gtg. I don't have much of a problem phoning in orders, but I'm a night owl, and usually I'll place orders late, which is why I like ordering online. It's definitely a little cumbersome going back and forth between the pdf catalog window and the shopping cart, but as long as they get the order right, I'm not gonna complain much. I've dealt with worse, and can't blame them for not updating to a proper shopping site with the amount of coding that would have to be done for that much inventory. DJ1935 Report post Posted September 24, 2010 Must have stirred something up as I too got a reply - hopefully my order is on its way - I live in hope! Their website is definately difficult to order off and yes, when you eventually get it done it comes up as a Server Error. Unfortunately from this end I would have to get up in the middle of the night to phone them. Then wait in the queue, whilst paying for an International toll call, for someone to answer. I get really grumpy if I dont get my eight hours sleep so this option is not a good one. Thanks for your help everyone. DJ
billymac814 Report post Posted October 3, 2010 I just opened an account with them, I filled out the online app on a saturday or sunday and had my customer number and password on Monday morning(this was a few weeks ago) I haven't ordered anything from them yet because it does seem very difficult just to even look for stuff. I also almost feel bad ordering just one or two things, but I did explain in the application that I make custom items one at a time and don't have any type of "stock" items at this point so they should know I wouldn't order a lot at once. The application was very simple and I didn't need to send anything over to them in the way of tax forms or anything like that. Another thing for those who don't have an account or don't want to get one is Springfield Leather sells thier stuff as well, unfortunatley it isn't any easier, you still have to look at the item in the OTB catalog and then call them for a price then call Springfield with what you want. I would imagine thats more difficult yet and probably take longer as well. But it is an option for the person that just needs the occasional thing.
