Members craftsman827 Posted April 30, 2008 Members Report Posted April 30, 2008 I Have an order for a mens wallet. With a striped bass comming out of the water, on one side of the wallet. A boat on the other side. Does anyone have,or know where to get a pattern of such? I have something like it in Stolhman figure carving book. But not a stripped bass. ANY HELP would be appreacated. Contributing Member Crystal Posted May 1, 2008 Contributing Member Report Posted May 1, 2008 Hi Craftsman- Sorry I can't actually help on the pattern. I did wander around cyperspace for a while, looking. And holy carp! - I found a gentleman's gallery that is unbelievable. He does fish in leather. He has one that is a 10' steelhead with a full western saddle on it - yep you gotta see this to believe it! I am not sure about link rules and such - so if this is not allowed someone smack my fingers - but do a google search for Lance Marshall Boen and take a peak at his gallery. I am still reeling! Members tazzmann Posted May 1, 2008 Members Report Posted May 1, 2008 WOW! He does some cool stuff! I LOVE the holster he has at his hip in the picture with him in front of the steelhead. That is great! TomSwede Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 (edited) This ones definetly coming out of water, lol http://mariewin.server304.com/marieblog/up...agle-782544.jpg This one needs a watersplash from perhaps a tattoflash http://www1.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview...eaping_bass.jpg Still no water http://www.tna-tackle.com/images/TOUR_STRIPED_BASS.jpg This one's tricky http://www.jkchristian.com/sitebuilder/ima...per-600x396.jpg That's all I could find on "striped bass" google image search. I've been scavenging for fishinmotifs a bit today so hunting for this was no probs for me since I was in the game anyway. Next time tell your customer to bring with the image he'd like portrayed and that it would mean a lower price too!!, lol Can't resist posting this seal who like to eat the fishermens striped bass http://pictopia.com/perl/get_image?provide...hoto_id=2035075 Happy fishin..eh hunting I mean! TomSwede Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 You're welcome Craftsman! Like I said, I was on a scavenge today for these type of motifs, now that I open the door to the fisihing world with rod tubes they might come handy. I just love to make tooling designs from tattoo art sincethose designs from start is thought of going on a hard media/canvas but fishing is way underrated there only lots of Jap koi fish. I'm really looking forward to see that wallet!! Tom Quote Confucius - Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without. --------------------------------------------- www.1eye1.se blogg.1eye1.se
