Contributing Member Ferg Posted October 13, 2010 Contributing Member Report Posted October 13, 2010 I didn't realize how hard this was and how long it took to make it. I think I'll stick to braiding leather. Don't give up on carving and stamping, you will miss out on a lot of fun! Primarily you just need practice. You have the general ideas. You know what isn't correct I assume but a trip through some Al Stohlman books would do you a world of good. ferg Quote
Members Crash Leather Posted October 13, 2010 Author Members Report Posted October 13, 2010 My brother is Big Papa Leather. I was just getting practice on carving my logo on a few things for our guild. I'm happy with the results, but I'm very critical of stuff I do. Quote It don't take much, but I lost my mind. Members joquarter Posted October 14, 2010 Members Report Posted October 14, 2010 You will not know , how bad my first carving peace was , and as I see all the nice work from everybody here , I know I need a lot more to practice. But still love to carve and I was very happy with my first real project. Wich took me weeks to finish it. So keep on carving , looking forward on your next peace. Members Crash Leather Posted October 18, 2010 Author Members Report Posted October 18, 2010 My next piece is in the works, either a somewhat simple version of my avatar or a different piece of art I've got being made for me for a different looking logo. I hope to have it done fairly soon. Quote It don't take much, but I lost my mind. If you find it, please don't step on it.
