kan3malato Report post Posted October 19, 2010 Hi all. Does anybody know where I can buy online ""LINEN THREAD BARBOUR 50 GMS LINEN THREAD 18/4 BROWN" ? From what I've read in this forum about threads"Barbour" seems to be the BEST brand. Do you you know any others brand as good as Barbour? thanks in advance. PS You guys have a great forum. I've spent the last few days reading and LEARNING lots of stuff here... I've almost complete the list of tools I need:winkiss: Thanks again.

kan3malato Report post Posted October 19, 2010 Thanks guys. Boockaroogal"you can purchase it at abbey saddlery in england. they have a website." Mhhhhhhh that site seems to sell just to trades:unsure: Campbell- Bosworth: http://campbell-bosw...?keywords=linen They sell 1lb I am looking for 50gm or something small... The problem is that thread it's very exepensive ($46.65)and I should see the difference (since I am new in leatherworking) among 18/3 18/4 18/5 18/7. Thanks anyway. BAD HIDE Report post Posted October 26, 2010 (edited) It looks close to it, but idk for sure. It might be waxed or be the wrong size, hard to tell from a picture. I just got the thread from Campbell, it's expensive, but that $46 is going to last a hand stitcher a looooooooong time. I think I used up a couple little 50 yard waxed spools before I got this one, and I should have just gotten this one first. I still use some waxed poly cord for colored stitching, it's cheaper and comes in 4oz spools, but not as nice as the linen threads. And the whole point of leatherworking is to not use plastic and synthetics, right? Edited October 26, 2010 by BAD HIDE
