rustyriggin Report post Posted October 25, 2010 I need a line drawing of this flower, if anyone can help, it'd be much appriciated. It's off of a 1979 Circle Y Trophy Saddle, I have to recreate the stirrup fenders for my Mom's boyfriend......guess he's not man enough to ride a saddle that has "All Around Cowgirl" on both sides. dirtclod Report post Posted October 25, 2010 Take a piece of paper and lay it over the flower then rub it with the pencil lead and you have something that you make a pattern off of.

Yeah, that method just never has worked for me, but I'll try again, maybe there wasn't enough definition in the other ones to get a good pattern
hidepounder Report post Posted October 25, 2010 If I was going to copy it I would do exactly what dirtclod suggested. Do a rub-off and then re-trace it. Piece of cake!
joe59 Report post Posted October 26, 2010 If the flower is too worn on the fender to get a good impression, a lot of times the flower on the rear jockeys will be cleaner. I have also had my daughter scan the fender or jockey on the computer and then traced it, JOE
BearMan Report post Posted October 26, 2010 Hi Joe, Maybe this will help?? You should be able to print this, to the correct size, & re-draw over the lines. Hope this helps,,, Ed
BearMan Report post Posted October 26, 2010 Come to think of it, I may even have a Tap-Off of this flower. I'll look tomorrow. I know I have something very similar. Well,,, it's kinda close,,, here's a picture,,, look at the upper left flower. Not quite the same,,, but the same idea. Oh Well,,, Ed the"BearMan"

rustyriggin Report post Posted November 4, 2010 Thanks sooo much! You guys are AWESOME!! I used Irfanview, and just freehand traced the edges, but haven't got around to printing it yet, but I'm sure I'll use all of the drawings and see what works best. Thanks again, Rus
BIGGUNDOCTOR Report post Posted November 5, 2010 Sounds like you got it. I was going to suggest taking a picture, printing it, and using that as your pattern. With it in the computer you can size it to whatever size you need.
