Members CustomDoug Posted November 9, 2010 Members Report Posted November 9, 2010 I don't know maybe I'm doing something wrong but it seems easy enough. Singer 29K62.... manual says to pull the plunger knob out and turn slightly to the left or right. But that's not dissengaging the balance wheel from the needle bar and/or stopping the whole thing from moving as usual when the wheel is turned. I'm I missing something or is there a common part that wears out in this area? Quote

You might have to oil it or even thake it off and clean up the shaft and bore in the wheel. Not very likely caused by wear. Quote
Members CustomDoug Posted November 10, 2010 Author Members Report Posted November 10, 2010 Catskin you were right on... a little WD40 sprayed into the small holes around the inside of the wheel and it's working just fine now. - Thanks! Quote
