Members rb30boost Posted November 28, 2010 Members Report Posted November 28, 2010 Ok i need a bit of help guys. I finally bought myself a consew sk-2r, its in great condition, but not sure on the clutch motor. It turns over but its like the brake stays on, does it need adjusting, or servicing or just replacing? I put my machine on our 132k6 table at work and it sews perfectly, really happy with it, so i no its the motor that has the problem. Also it seems the pulley only moves around 5mm max on the motor when you put yuor foot down, but the one at work moves around 10-15mm, is this the problem? Quote

Did you try removing the belt and run the motor? I don't know much about the clutch motors, if I were you I would spring for a good 3/4 Horse power Servo motor. You will have better speed control. ferg Quote
Moderator Wizcrafts Posted November 28, 2010 Moderator Report Posted November 28, 2010 The clutch on the motor is too far in. Back off the big screw on the front facing portion of the pulley side of the motor (front side of output shaft). It is secured by a large nut. Loosen the nut a bit, then back off the screw until you have the desired free movement, then tighten the nut again. Quote
