Pictured is a 32 plait 8ft bull whip that I recently made for a customer in Canada The brief was to make the whip look like a diamond back rattle snake so it had to be done in three colours, tan,black and natural for the belly which isn't really visible in the photo.When I first started I thought to myself not a problem but as the work progressed and I had to undo about 4ft of plaiting three times I soon discovered that it wasn't all that simple after all. A lot of hand colouring had to be done to get the different shades but in the end I was quite pleased with the finished whip. Just waiting on the customer to get back to me on his opinion and it will be sent. Quote

This is one facet of leather working I have never tried, but I watched an amazing show on one of the cable channels not to long ago about the folks who make whips, and it is quite a specialty. Sounds like you had to push yourself and expand on your skills to get the look you were after . . . . GREAT JOB ! Quote
