Members Bard Skye Posted September 29, 2011 Members Report Posted September 29, 2011 Hi Tina Back again with a couple of more questions. What are the dimentions on that scroll case? And, are your colors dye or acrylics? What manufacturer? Thanks again. Skye Quote

And, are your colors dye or acrylics? What manufacturer? Thanks again. Skye The holder is almost a foot high and I think close to 3 inch in diameter (I don't have it infront of me right now) I use Angelus spirit dyes and acryllic white paint (sometime black paint too) On this scroll holder I have also used the old style medium brown antiquing from Tandy (before Eco-line), I was lucky enough to find a few big bottles before they were discontinued. I get the spirit dye from a gourd supplier, he's got the best price I have found: www.turtlefeathers.net Edited September 29, 2011 by Tina Quote "He who works with his hands is a laborer. Members WinterBear Posted October 3, 2011 Members Report Posted October 3, 2011 Danngit. That scroll case just made me drool all over my keyboard. I have no use for a scroll holder, but that thing wants me to make one and find something to put in it! Quote I used to be an Eagle, a good ol' Eagle too...
Tinneal Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 The airbrushing on that scroll holder is amazing!! Where did you get the pattern for the holder itself? Quote Leatherwork Portfolio | Etsy Shop

Thank you all for you nice comments, I can see that I have missed a few...Not on purpouse. Tinneal: I don't know if you mean the tooling pattern (which is an authentic map from around 1630) or the tube? Well the tube is just made as I go along and if I have to make another one I have to start from scratch again :-) Quote "He who works with his hands is a laborer.
