Members resqman Posted March 21, 2011 Members Report Posted March 21, 2011 You might consider looking in the Stamping forum for some great information about basket weave stamping. While leather working and stamping are a creative medium and what ever you like is part of the artistic interperation, you may find is you follow the general rules of thumb about the use of the basket weave stamp, you might find a broader acceptance of you work. Members Stewart Posted March 21, 2011 Author Members Report Posted March 21, 2011 Resqman, Yes you are right. Baket weaving has to be donewith a direct idea of how it is going to turn out. Start-finish and aligment. What i did was a second thought and no thinking. Never should have done it. Should have left it out but the thought the project lacked somethingand after the frist strike it was a done deal. I will never be as good as the others here. Ihave got what pool hustlers in tampa call "Sulfersprings Slop" It gets in the pocket but its an ugly sight. Anyway the weave will be in on the back burner till I feel the the main subject is good. Than work on the weaving-barb wire-rope stamps. Thes things I do pay back for the nights stay on a lake-free- cleaned bass, pipe tobacco ,plants and seed given to my wife by her sisters.
