Just wanted to ask whether anyone knows where I can find a manual for this model or something similar.

Also, I'm intending to work mostly with garment leather. I've had a hands-on with it today, and it ploughed through 4 layers of thick upholstery leather like butter. I want to know what the limits are for this particular machine and what else I should be looking out for.

Thank you!

Hi, new member. Welcome to the forum, were you'l gets lots of info on using your new machine. Just GOOGLE, Singer manuals and there is a FREE site the has almost all singer manual and parts lists. Sorry i don't have the link handy.

That will give you limitations on foot hight, thread sizes, and needle systems for you steel.

There also is a guy on here named Bob, from Toledo Industrial Sewing, that has a lot of singer knowledge and he can help you with advice and probably parts, etc.
