Joel hello joel yes the leather is glued to the wood base. i build the base first then cut and tool my leather. on one of them i tooled the front, top, and back, i always cover the whole clock with leather, just dont always tool the back, because that is a extra charge glade you liked it, and thanks for the nice compliment john Quote when it comes to helping others always remember someone helped you once[feel free to visit my galleryEmail me
