Members dscott Posted April 25, 2011 Members Report Posted April 25, 2011 did you use the new edger on this one Quote
Ambassador Luke Hatley Posted April 25, 2011 Author Ambassador Report Posted April 25, 2011 (edited) did you use the new edger on this one Yes i did use the burnisher that you made for me. Like i said the wood was the best i am guessing that is because of the oil in it. i did not burnish the straps just the edge of the holster. Edited April 25, 2011 by Luke Hatley Quote

I really like that Luke, I just learned how they used to attach the retention strap years back. A friend sent me his Grandfathers Duty holster for the old 38 funnel style barrel Police model. It's a BAER? Letherworks Holster from St Louis. Well he sent 3 actually, one for a 38, one for a 32 and one for a Woodsman 22. I was surprised at the use of flat brass rivets and swivels on the two Duty holsters. Kinda cool how they come up with solutions likke that. Quote

Thanks Reaper.... it's hard to improve upon a fine item. i like making holsters for revolvers. a lot of leather craftsmen here are doing for semi-autos..... Quote
Members TexasJack Posted April 26, 2011 Members Report Posted April 26, 2011 Perfect holster for the Judge, IMHO. Well executed as well. Quote

Members Rhide Posted May 8, 2011 Members Report Posted May 8, 2011 Beautiful Holster Luke. Is that a 2 1/2" cylinder Judge? Looking for ideas on a 3" x 3" Judge myself. I've been using an Uncle Mike's #2 for mine and , although it works well enough, I would prefer to personalize it more by making one of my own. Hope mine comes out as nice as yours. Quote
