Recommended Posts

Have you guys visited Barrys website lately? He's added quite a bit of new tools. Just when I thought I'd finished spending all my extra cash...here I go again.

Barry King makes great tools at affordable prices, you don't have to wait a year to get them, and he's a really nice guy. Please please tell Barry that you appreciate him helping to sponsor LW. We couldn't pay our bills without the companies you see the banners for, and we are grateful for them all.

Are you refering to the Lattice stamp? I have one of those on the way, pretty interesting idea, think I'll have plenty of use for this one on seats

Yep thats the one. i ordered #2. #1 seams too small for what i do and #3 may be too big for me.

but i probably will order all of them after i play with it awhile.

Chan Geer demo'd this in his sheridan carving class last year. He stamped it then rotated it 90 degrees and lined the legs up into the stamped one, rotated 90 degrees and repeated it.

it makes a very nice basketweave design. it may be easier to line up this stamp than the traditional basketweave stamps. i will always use the traditonal design basketweave stamps.

Chan Geer also demo'd another great basketweave stamp from hides to art. they make great impressions just like barry king stamps. just look up hides to art to see the different stamps they have.

I wish he would do a little bit of pattern with that stamp and few more so a person could see what they look like.

I'd like to get some tools from him but that $8.00 to send one stamp that weighs a few ounces is just to much for me and i'm sure for other folks to.

If you pass your mouse over the photo of the impression of the stamp it will morph into a pattern

yea 8 bucks is kinda high for shipping but i will pay it because the stamps are well worth getting and you cant find them locally

just save up some money and order more than one stamp or tool. his hammers and edgers are very like no others out there also.

I'm gonna be ordering one of his french edgers in the very near future.

I don't know why he is hung up on UPS and doesn't use the post office and Priority Mail. The post office will pick it up just like UPS and they have tracking to. When i have ordered and the tools were sent UPS it took at least a week to get here the post office would of been 3 days tops plus it's cheaper. I send things all over the US with Priority Mail and the only time it has took longer than 3 days was right at Christmas.

I really like the swivel knife and blades i have gotten from Barry.
