question for the knowledagble. I was contaced by a Local Saddle Club

to do some names and event name on new saddle fenders. Now , do i case the

fenders completly and not be too worried about the water staining ?

You can case the whole thing and keep re-wetting the area to stamp if needed, or you can wet just the area that you need. You shouldn't get water spots if you don't drip it or get one to begin with. Just wring out the sponge well and keep wetting it until it's cased.

Joel,

When I case a large piece, like a fender, I wet the whole piece evenly, and case, then as I work the pattern and tool, I use a spray bottle and piece of sheepskin to keep it at the "wetness" that I like to work with, again, the whole piece. That way, when it dries, it dries even without stains.
