Slipper Pattern ?

Recommended Posts

I have a saddle repair shop and I end up with lots of scraps of sheep wool skins from re-fleecing saddles. I have alway thought they would make a fine pair of slippers. Anyone out there have a pattern that would work for that ? Or, what do others do with their scraps?? Thanks-------------------Bill

I bought all the sizes and made acetate patterns from them . I can't make them fast enough.

THis site you posted has some very interesting patterns. Have you done any with sheepwool? If so, are you trimming the fleece, and what size are you making for a given shoe size, to take into account the wool?

Thanks,

Ann

I use sheepskin with about 5/8 inch fleece. You can just increase your seam allowance, or clip the fleece down a bit

I am designing some right now , 1 layer of skirting,1 layer of foam rubber for the sole, 1 layer sheepskin for the insole, one cup shaped for the toes.Slip-on similiar to crocks.
