Wouldn't a wallet back make a much shallower purse though.Most wallet-backs I've seen are about 1/2 as long as the strip used in the purse pattern in that thread. As you can see from the scan section, it was made of 4 wallet backs, plus a wallet sized base, and 2 soft leather gussets. You should be able to figure out how to build it by looking at the pic.
