So, I've been calling around all day trying to track down some 138 sized thread in brown, blue, red, and white and most places have nothing in that size or only black or white if any, but not the colors. I tried to order the colors before but figured it was just a stock issue and I'd just order when I was about ready to start sewing. Now I have a couple weeks left to get a couple projects done and sewn and can't find thread to save my life. I can use black in if I absolutely must but I really don't want to.

So I have to ask if anyone knows of any suppliers that consistently carries a wide variety of colors and sizes.

I don't have an up to date catalog, . . . but Weaver's used to advertize the rainbow in threads.

They are in Northern Ohio, . . . Amish country.

May God bless,

I have also heard good things about Weaver, but haven't seen their goods yet.

These guys were recommended to me when I was seeking thread for canvas repair: http://www.thethreadexchange.com

http://www.thethreadexchange.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=SRCH&Store_Code=TTE, and type in "138 thread" and it pulls up all kinds of colors in size 138 in nylon, polyester, kevlar, and nomex. I haven't ordered from them, but they use UPS and USPS and state that they usually ship same-day and don't have hidden handling costs.

Awesome, rock on guys. I forgot about weaver and it looks like that thread exchange place has quite the variety of colors and spool sizes. Thanks so much!

I buy a lot of thread from the Thread Exchange. I live in NC so I usually have it in 1-2 days of my order. Good selection and prices, nice to deal with.

I haven't ordered from the other sources yet.
