Small Pocket Knife Sheath

Made this the other day. Real simple and didn't take too much time or effort. Please let me know what I need to improve on. T'anks!

I always appreciate examples of fine leather craftsmanship; a simple design -- executed in a clean, neat fashion -- is especially appealing. I certainly like the stitching on that piece. . . though the sheath edge appears to slightly waver in a spot or two (edge sanding after stitching maybe?). The molding was done well, and the rivets are a nice touch (a little close to the knife, perhaps? But I'm not sure that can be judged accurately from the picture.) I think it might be better to put a slightly larger radius on the top edge corners of the sheath as well. . .

Overall, I really like it. Thanks for sharing.

Looks very nice...I agree with above comment re the top corners, I'd rather see them rounded off a bit.

I'm not a fan of rivets, I believe they are not necessary it the stitching is done right....other than that, fine looking piece.

Thanks for the replies and the suggestions! After looking at it again, yeah I should have rounded the top where the rivits are. As for the rivits, it's what the customer wanted. I'm pretty impressed how the stitching came out myself. LoL Again, thank you!

Oh, and i see where the leather looks a little wavy due to me pulling too hard on the thread while sewing.

Boy, you surely wouldn't want anyone to see that wavy leather or the non rounded top......you better send that one to me so no ones sees it.

I also like the rivets. For an older-style pocket knife, you want to create a sheath that has a vintage appeal, and I think the rivets and the oiled color contribute to that. Nice job.

Another fan of the rivets. Though they are not necessary, that add a nice "working" touch.

I think it looks better than just plain nice. The stitching lines are clean and the color is well balanced.

Quick question, I'm new to the board and and the art but im wanting to learn a little of everything not just braiding carving etc (maybe trying to learn too much too quick)anyways, my question is how were u able to get the leather to form around the knife without it losing shape and collapsing or shrinking? May be a stupid question sorry guys
