Members mkleathers Posted September 7, 2011 Members Report Posted September 7, 2011 My second go with a stingray. I'm really starting to like that fish Quote
Members Spinner Posted September 7, 2011 Members Report Posted September 7, 2011 The sheath looks very nice, the window of 'ray adds just enough "umph" without being too much. The knife itself is VERY nice looking too, did you make that also? Quote
Members drphil Posted September 7, 2011 Members Report Posted September 7, 2011 Looks great! I am assuming you hand stitched it. If so, how do you sew through the sting ray? Does sewing it work as well as regular veg tan? I like the design, very sleek. Quote
Members mkleathers Posted September 7, 2011 Author Members Report Posted September 7, 2011 @ Spinner - the knife was made by Polish maker Pawulon. He makes outstanding nives. I work with leather only @drphil - Yes it was hand stitched and to be honest I didnt have any problems at all. The ray is between 2 layers of 2mm leather, so you actually sew those two together. I gues the needle went between the "pearls" in ray, and that part is thin and soft. Mat. Quote
