Has anyone on here tried Eco-Flo easy carve conditioner? I thought I'd try it since I felt I was getting some drag when carving. The result I got was I had no control over the swivel knife. I was all over the leather and the knife would slip farther than my stopping point. It almost would even drag worse. Couldn't make smooth a radius....My other question is should I sharpen my knife rather that strop? Maybe I've stropped off my nice edge? Suggestions please!

Look VERY closely at the tip. Magnification is best. You will be able to see if the edge is dull. If is is, you need to sharpen it. Stropping will not sharpen it. Stropping keeps it sharp.
