I need to get the right sized thread and needle so I can stop dreading starts and stops. Currently the small thread and needle is 23 and 207. It's a hint big to get the end knots in there. I'm running a Cobra Class 3. What size needle and thread should I order? I don't want this gear looking like fashion stitched stuff (it's manly tool and garage accessories). Still would like it too look like a leather worker put this together not Aunt Susie with her walmart sewing machine (no offense to Aunt Susies out there with a Walmart machine) Quote

I switched thread and needle the other way (since that's the size of black thread I had and wanted to use) Anyway, 277 and 25 and seem to have it dialed in. Going out on a limb that the bigger needle is making the difference. Could also be I'm tensioning the paint off the cast iron in order to get the black thread to run right. I'll try this and see what happens. Quote

Never once blamed the machine...again I say, I asked for thread and needle suggestions!!!! "Way down" is NOT specific And to be fair, this thread had 6 views when I posted back 207 is the smallest I had.
