Pay attention, and don't let your stuff get too hot. I had a perfect storm hit this poor thing yesterday and it's hard to quit kicking myself! Hope everyone enjoys a laugh at my expense today

It was my favorite yet, oh well.

I have a 'drying box' that consists of a shelf and a heat gun a good distance apart. I typically rotate them often and got sidetracked tooling another piece. I didn't think it was as bad until I felt the leather and it was brittle. Now I need to actually build a box!

I hate to see that you over cooked the holster, but really, that type of lesson is the type that sticks with you the best.

+1. There are some lessons we just don't forget.

Oh gosh... I'm not laughing at all... that is just sad. That holster was looking good.

It takes courage to share our failures. Thanks for that.

We all have our moments, I'm just glad mine didn't cost anything more than time and a little bit in supplies, biggest waste was the time in tooling. Won't make that mistake twice and I got a little payback today. I made a pair mostly out of smite :)

Maybe my feelings/pride a little bit. I'm going to give an antique finish a go on these as a first try so there is chance yet that I'll ruin them anyways.

The pistol is a 6" K-frame.
