Members Kcinnick Posted December 21, 2011 Members Report Posted December 21, 2011 I am just curious, I have seen it done both ways. Do you stamp the length of leather from the fold to the center hole. Or to you stamp the size from the end of the buckle to the center hole? Thanks, Nick Quote
Moderator Art Posted December 21, 2011 Moderator Report Posted December 21, 2011 I've always done tip of buckle tongue to center hole. Just my way. Members Kevin Posted December 22, 2011 Members Report Posted December 22, 2011 Same as Art, If you just measure the leather, the buckle can add 1 to 3 inches, I've even seen some 5 or 6 in. long buckles lately from south of the border. If you measured just the leather they would be huge, now I'm typing this I remember that's why I had them, to be shortened. All that said, There is a high dollar custom tailor next to us and his belts are all measured from the fold. Kevin Quote
Members Kcinnick Posted December 24, 2011 Author Members Report Posted December 24, 2011 I have belts both ways. I see a case for both ways, I thing I'll go with total length. Quote
