Members bigern26 Posted January 16, 2012 Members Report Posted January 16, 2012 I built a holster for my Ruger Single Six and thought I would share. Finished it a few days ago and just got around to taking some pics. I wanted something that was not 1 solid color so I dyed it with light brown and used a piece of leather that had a bit of grain to it. This is the first holster I have ever made. Hold the revolver tight plus added a hammer retention. I am really happy with it. Quote
wizard of tragacanth Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Very nice. I like it a lot. The design really complements the gun. Nick Quote
rickybobby Posted January 17, 2012 Report Posted January 17, 2012 Nice holster. After seeing that one I feel bad for my Ruger sitting in a rug in the safe. It should have a holster like yours! Back to the bench to cut out the new holster !! Well, maybe tomorrow!! Quote

Members Abram Posted January 17, 2012 Members Report Posted January 17, 2012 Nice, I like the looks of the older style revolvers in a leather holster. Quote

wizard of tragacanth Posted January 18, 2012 Report Posted January 18, 2012 The only advice that I can give you is that you should put your name on all of your work. You can do it freehand or with a maker's stamp, but it needs to be done. It really finishes a piece... and all artists sign their work, don't they? Nick Quote

Nick You cannot see it but I do have my makers mark on the back. Its cut out of the pic. I had one made when I started to make my knife sheaths. Thanks Quote
