Members DrJerry Posted January 25, 2012 Members Report Posted January 25, 2012 I am hand stitching holsters and belt cases until I can afford a machine. Where can I get unwaxed linen thread? I keep finding waxed thread everywhere I look. Quote
Members dbusarow Posted January 25, 2012 Members Report Posted January 25, 2012 This is where I buy mine. http://campbell-bosworth.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=linen Dan Quote
alexitbe Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 I had no luck finding any in Europe...Can you believe that? In the end I gave up and just went with Tiger thread... Its a polyester braid (I think thats the correct term) and come highly recommended... Sometimes we have to admit that some modern material is simply better than what Stohlman used... Quote
Members simontuntelder Posted November 17, 2015 Members Report Posted November 17, 2015 At Alexitbe, it's widely available in the EU and the UK - Abbey has it for instance and probably any other leather wholesaler. Look for Barbour, Somac and Fil au Chinois or even Campbell for that matter. It's often referred to as satinated or simply satin. Quote
electrathon Posted November 17, 2015 Report Posted November 17, 2015 Are you in America? Oregon leather in Portland has Barbours in machine spools. Warning, you will be getting a lifetime supply. Quote
Members TinkerTailor Posted November 17, 2015 Members Report Posted November 17, 2015 Tandy sells 5-cord in 25 and 280 yard rolls. Dont know quality. Quote
