Members scwhiteley Posted February 21, 2012 Members Report Posted February 21, 2012 This "tensioning" buckle is on a BMW motorcycle tank bag that my dad bought in the seventies. There is no tag or information as to what company made it (other than the BMW insignia). I'm looking to use this kind of buckle in a project, but can't find them anywhere. Any help you can provide is much appreciated! Thanks, Chad Quote

Members scwhiteley Posted February 23, 2012 Author Members Report Posted February 23, 2012 Thanks compound, That is definitely the item right there. It doesn't look like I can order them directly from their website (or in small numbers I'm guessing.) But this gives me somewhere to start! Thanks again, Chad Quote
Members JoelR Posted May 1, 2012 Members Report Posted May 1, 2012 Resurecting: If you have not gotten a source, I see they have similar items in the Ohio Travel Bag catalog. Page 190. They are called cam buckles. Seen them and mail strap buckles used a lot on older ('60s-'70s) bicycling gear my father had that used leather straps.
