Love the deep carving, the book back is wonderful....I pull my hat....great craftsman ship!! Jimbob Actually, Jimbob, that's the front of the book. Arabic is read from right to left and what we would call back to front. But I agree, it is wonderful carving. Nice job! Edited to ask: Where did you get the beautiful filigree stamps? Or were they custom made for you? Edited May 29, 2012 by Rodw

Jimbob Report post Posted May 30, 2012 Actually, Jimbob, that's the front of the book. Arabic is read from right to left and what we would call back to front. But I agree, it is wonderful carving. Nice job! Edited to ask: Where did you get the beautiful filigree stamps? Or were they custom made for you? Well aware of this fact, Rod....I am born in Europe,,,,,I have seen my share of arabic writings....I was actually refering to the actuall backbone of the book...not sure what you call that....when you close the book and have it in a shelf...this part you see then ....it just amazed me how deep and three dimensional it is!! Great work, great craftmanship and I absolutly agree with you on the quality of the work!! Thanks for your edit.. Jimbob
