MADMAX22 Report post Posted July 8, 2008 OK so I am working on my first wallet among other things and I have scene variouse wallets here that have a single piece of thicker leather with slits cut in it to hold like credit cards and stuff. Is that all it is is thicker leather with slits cut at the right spots. I guess that would hold them in but wanted to make sure I was thinking along the right lines. Thanks for the input. carr52 Report post Posted July 8, 2008 It's really several peices sewn together to form the pockets. Heres one I made for a checkbook cover. After it was done I just trimmed it to fit the ckeckbook. Hope this helps. Tom
abn Report post Posted July 8, 2008 I've done wallet interiors with slots (see pic below). They work just fine, especially if you're looking for an easy way to do pockets. Once your wallet gets loaded up with 10-20 cards, there's plenty of tension to keep the cards in place. I use 2-3 oz. leather for this kind of construction -- normally, Tandy's kip sides. Hope this information helps! -Alex
