McJeep Report post Posted March 27, 2012 just took delivery of these to use with my hand press. The dies are not too bad for construction - they do include magnetic holders as well. Problem is that I try to only use stainless materials sooooo magnets no worky :0/ Thinking I may have to use some type of gummy putty or other to make spots etc stay up in the driving die. Any suggestions as to just what will work best?? Thanks in advance as always Rob
Tree Reaper Report post Posted March 27, 2012 Double face carpet tape might work.
McJeep Report post Posted March 27, 2012 pretty tight spacing - the spot die is only for 1/2 inchers and the hole in the rivet die is even smaller :0/ I refuse to use steel hardware just to see the nickel crack and start rusting :0/
Bob Blea Report post Posted March 28, 2012 There is an adhesive called Blue Tack that is intended to putting up posters and such on walls, but it will pull off easily and not leave any residue or damage the painted surface. Bostick makes Blue Tack but other companies make similar products and you can usually find it at the hardware store. A small ball of it would probably hold your hardware in place. Hope this helps, Bob

Tree Reaper Report post Posted March 28, 2012 The tape can be punched out with your leather punches as small as you need.
