PM me if interested. I have an antique Brunswick pool table (early 1900's). It has leather pockets. I've decided to replace the baskets, which I can get from Brunswick. However, I'd rather not replace the entire pocket. They have a real nice rustic look to them, and it just wouldn't look right.In addition to the leather basket, there's also a leather skirt on the outside, and a dark red striped suede liner on the inside of the pocket. And a leather cap. I'm looking for someone the could stitch on the new baskets, and give the rest a little TLC. Replace the suede, fix a hole in a top cap, refurbish the rest. Know anyone? David Report post Posted July 12, 2008 A bit of personal experience.....when I restored my 1900's Brusnwick, I wanted to restore everything. The fellow who did my pockets talked me into new leather rather than try to restore what is there. Most of these tables have not been very well cared for over the years. Mine sat in a flooded basement of a police station for nearly a month in the great flood back in the 20's. Despite how good most of your leather may look, it probably needs to be replaced. Does yours say I Tann Nic Nic on the plaque? Those were the state of the art cushions back in the day!..... I Tann Nic Nic is Cincinnati spelled backwards of course. Just my humble opinion..... BillB Report post Posted August 3, 2008 I have also restored an old pocket billiards table. My table dated from the 1890-1910s, three piece 1 inch slate bed on oak frame with cannon ball feet. The table was disassembled when I got it from a friend. All though all the pockets were there, the leather was not worth saving, and nor were the mounts. Unfortunately, that mounting system was no longer used or produced so I had to convert the mounts. Something to consider. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
