Members mnnurse Posted April 17, 2012 Members Report Posted April 17, 2012 I am having difficulty finding a copy of Al Stohlman's book, How to Make Leather Animals. It was published in 1966 by Craftool, Co. Attached is a picture of the book's cover. I'd like to get a copy, but so far no luck. I've checked E-bay, Tandy Leather Factory/Leathercraft Library and The Leather Crafter's Journal. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Please and thank you!

This is the hardest to find of all of Al Stohlman's books. I have seen maybe five copies come up for auction on eBay in the last ten years. This is also the only AS book that I am missing. The winning bid price has always been more than I was willing to pay. I am thinking the last one went for over forty dollars. Perhaps if we are lucky, TLF will see fit to reprint it in the future. (John 8:32) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (KJV) And the truth is that religion is nothing more than the lame attempt by largely ignorant people to bring sense and order to a world that was beyond their comprehension. Once you see religion for the delusional and superstitious artifact it is............... you will be free !
Members mnnurse Posted April 17, 2012 Author Members Report Posted April 17, 2012 TLF stated they did not have the copyright for the book, so probably not much hope there! I was hoping they'd be able to add it to Leathercraft Library.

I was hoping they'd be able to add it to Leathercraft Library. check your other post. I looked it up using a library catalog site. There are 4 libraries that carry this book. I bet you can get the copy on loan through inter-library-loan, read it, copy down what you need.... then return it. A teacher pointed at me with a ruler and said "At the end of this ruler is an idiot." I got detention when I asked "Which end?"
dirtclod Posted April 17, 2012 Report Posted April 17, 2012 I'm pretty sure their was a add selling reprint copies of this book a year or so ago. Plus i'm pretty sure i have a copy someplace but i don't want to sell it. I'm old enough to know that i don't know everything.
Members Sylvia Posted April 20, 2012 Members Report Posted April 20, 2012 I looked hoping to find one for her too. All I found was the 4 in the libraries. A teacher pointed at me with a ruler and said "At the end of this ruler is an idiot." I got detention when I asked "Which end?"
