I decided I wanted a John Bull type of tophat after making so many hats for others I realized a full height tophat on top of my 6'4 of ugly was overkill. I wanted something roguish maybe snakeoil salesman/medicineshowish so here it is.

Double looped top and whatever this lacing is on the brim.

Like the way your's tuned out. How much did you shorten the crown? I've been searching for new ideas to make one for myself.
