Hi Everybody,

Here is the latest creation off my bench. It's a Anniversary present for somebody my wife works with. I don't know what the flowers are,,, I think some kind of WildFlowers. She supplied the pictures that she took of the flowers she wanted on it. Sooo,,, this is what I came up with. As always,, the coloring took about as long,,, maybe longer than the tooling. Awesome. I like the creases in the spine - apart from looking great does that help in keeping the spine in shape ?

I really like the subtle wings (angel ?) on the inside cover as a contrast to the vibrant colours on the outside..

Hi Everbody,,, Thanks for all the wonderful comments! Yes the creases in the spine helps keep things straight. The coloring took about 6-8 hours. The inside flaps don't really translate in the pictures very well,,, they actually look like a wood Burl. The edges were done using one of Beary's Dremel style Burnishers, followed by some hand work with Paraffin wax. Thanks for looking

Unique, different, beautiful! The "shadow box?" curved basket weave sections on the back are very different and also looks really nice. That's a very striking piece, very clean work!

Did you airbrush your colors on?

That is outstanding. The colors are great as is the tooling. What really caught my eye was the back cover. I am always trying to make things or patterns symmetrical about a center line. You rewrote my paridigm Ed, thank you.

Bill,,, No Airbrush on here at all. All the colors are done with spirit dyes. Thanks Again!!
