Members Ropinkountz Posted June 11, 2012 Members Report Posted June 11, 2012 Just bought some beaver tail to make either knife sheaths or holster for compact gun. now the question is how do you put a finish on them and do they sew up well. seems like they will be the right thing for traditional looking knifes. does anyone know how they holdup for a holster inlay? Thanks Quote
Tree Reaper Posted June 11, 2012 Report Posted June 11, 2012 (edited) They will hold up well and hold a stitch well too. I had a wallet that I carried for a few years before the lining let go but the beaver tail is still in great shape. The only finish I've used is neat lac. Kevin. Members mmirob Posted June 28, 2012 Members Report Posted June 28, 2012 I agree! They take dye well too. They will polish up beautifully. Quote
