Cool!

Only draw back, is the scissor springs. BUT, that is a personal preference as I don't understand using springs on a seat for a bike that has a functioning swingarm.

Thanks guys, and yeah, I tend to agree about the springs when you've already got suspension, but that's what he wanted. He said it rode smoother afterwards though, so maybe there is something to it. I mean, it's not a rubber mount, so maybe it deadened a little vibration from the motor.

Maybe it's like Charmin...double the softness for delicate behinds. ;)

Nice work AMMO, the aged, mottled look came through nicely.

Solid mount is the only mount!

Im sure it will add to the suspension especially if you are running short shocks... like me... which you might as well be riding a hard tail cause you ain't far from it.

Yeah, I run rigid struts on my FXR with a sprung solo, so I know what you're talking about.

Paughco rigid frame!! I'm surprised I have teeth after some of the bumps I hit this weekend.

I had a chance to buy an 85 or 86 fxr which ever was the first year of the evo. Could have had it at a fairly decent price and I didn't jump on it. I still kick myself sometimes for not doing it.

Cyberthrasher, nice to see a larger pic! I like that frame, what are the specs. It appears to be somewhere around 4 up 2 out maybe?

Im looking at possibly picking up a basket case shovel.... don't know yet if Im gonna do it or not yet. Got to get a back up vehicle so i can have the downtime on the sportster to cut it.

You know, i hate to admit it, but I honestly can't remember exaclty. That does sound about right though. It was one of those "the frame is here, let's use it" kind of deals. I'll have to find my copy of the MSO and figure that out for sure.
