sly Report post Posted June 21, 2012 Just wondering if anyone has used embroidery thread that has be bees waxed? I thought I read something about it in this section but for the life of me I can't find it again. Must be on page 899!! LOl! Wondering because there are a lot of color choices that way. Thanks for your help ahead of time!
Dwight Report post Posted June 22, 2012 I've never done embroidery thread, . . . but waxing thread for hand sewing is fairly easy, . . . just set your block of beeswax in your stitching pony, . . . pull the thread through the wax, . . . VOILA, . . . waxed thread. I would pull it through twice, . . . left to right, . . . then right to left. May God bless, Dwight
ramrod Report post Posted July 1, 2012 i've used it. and the reason i did use it was because of the multitude of colors available. i didn't wax it nearly enough (looking baack on it) and didn't really like the stuff. it seemed to be "loose" and "fluffy" so i didn't feel like i got a decent stitch with it. loved the colors, tho.
