Garrett Leather Company Report post Posted July 30, 2012 Greetings all! I am considering purchasing my first machine. I have the opportunity to acquire a Cutline C-220 that is in excellent condition and has recently been serviced. The asking price is $300. While I am currently researching specs, I also wanted to ask the community at large if anyone has had any experience with this machine. I'm considering it for light (2-4 oz.) and garment work. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

While I am currently researching specs, I also wanted to ask the community at large if anyone has had any experience with this machine. I'm considering it for light (2-4 oz.) and garment work. Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Well, I don't know this machine, but if it is not a walking foot machine you will be disappointed. I tried every trick I could think of to sew garment leather on a normal straight stitch machine and could not stop the top layer from sticking on the presser foot and stretching to the point I would be off an inch in ten inches. Or the bottom layer would pucker up from the pull of the feed dogs. You should be able to pick up a used 111 singer for about the same price. Consew also made some similar walking foot machines.
