111W155 Timing Belt

I am hoping someone can help me out here. I recently bought a Singer 111w155 and I am trying to replace the timing/arm shaft connection belt. I followed the instructions in the Singer manual by removing the screw in back of the machine near the balance wheel to remove the arm shaft bushing. My problem is the bushing won't move. I'm not sure if there is more to be done or if the bushing is stuck. Any info on this would be helpful.

Also I did find this site while searching for answers to my problems. I don't think it has been posted on this forum but if it has I apologize for the repeat. Richard,

You need to loosen the 2-screws on the collar that you get to through the top plate.

Also make sure you sand down any burrs on the shaft were the grooves are for the handwheel screws or it won't slide off.
