Members J Hayes Posted September 13, 2012 Members Report Posted September 13, 2012 Anybody know anything about a Singer 110W125? Is it suitable for leather, say 2 layers of 6oz? I couldn't find much info on it, just something about wheel feed. Thanks Jeremy Quote
CowboyBob Posted September 13, 2012 Report Posted September 13, 2012 Jeremy There stitch length is controlled by gears, usually real short like something like 14,16,18,22,24 pr in. They were made for shoe uppers. Bob Quote

Members Happy Hooligan Posted September 13, 2012 Members Report Posted September 13, 2012 I had one for a while, I didn't get too much into it, but the owner before me sewed ladies shoes on it for years with the roller. Quote
Members J Hayes Posted September 13, 2012 Author Members Report Posted September 13, 2012 I'm going to pass on this one, even though I think its a good deal, $150 complete with table and motor. Its on Madison WI Craigslist if anyone is interested. Jeremy Quote

Members J Hayes Posted September 15, 2012 Author Members Report Posted September 15, 2012 Anybody know if the gears are available to get the stitches to 10? It might be a good machine for lighter bags and such. Also can anybody tell me the maximum thread size and material thickness? thanks Jeremy Quote

Members J Hayes Posted September 20, 2012 Author Members Report Posted September 20, 2012 I go pick it up friday morning, I'm not sure what stitch it's set for, but we'll find out, just something about the old Singers I couldn't resist. Jeremy Quote
CowboyBob Posted September 20, 2012 Report Posted September 20, 2012 They usually have 3-sets of gears in them, the stitch length is controlled by a knob under the left end of the machine, you it has 3 detents on it that stops on each different stitch length, you pull the knob it out or push it in to change the stitch length.
