Looking For Cool Eye Glasses Case

Hey

I just picked up my very first pair of reading glasses!

Age has caught up to me!

Now I'm looking for some cool designs for cases.

I would appreciate any and all replies.

Art design's or actual glasses case patterns? If you need a good fairly basic patttern, "The Art of Making Leather Cases Vol. 1" page 47. If you don't have that series, you want it anyway.

Glendon, I have that book, it is totaly awesome. I cant seem to find it at the moment, I think it's at work in the pile of leather books I shouldn't be reading while I'm at work.

What I was originaly looking for is something unique. I have a couple ideas and I will post them at some point if I succeed at them. If I don't here are my ideas and I hope that if someone does them that they post pictures.

One is a tube that holds the glasses with a removable top. I know, simple but the picture in my head is cool. The other is a sleve kind of thing that attaches to the computer monitor and holds the glasses out at a slight angle, easy to grab and easy to place them back.

Pete, how would you go about closing that design up? I could see it being kind of cool both sewn up as a pouch, and by putting a zipper in.

I sewed it along the inner line up to the arrows that show the width. Tooled and antiqued it and it came out really well, and the edges burnished great.pete

I just looked for his post, but it seems to be gone along with all of the pics from that post... Hope this helps

Phil - I know Yorkshire is not Honolulu, but you must wear sunglasses occasionally, even if its just to keep the rain out!

Haha! I wear sunglasses all the time on my bike, yeah..makes me look cool, with the added bonus of stopping the flies from bouncing off've my eyeballs..(just need something for covering my teeth next..) LOL

Oh and sometimes, when the sun DOES come out, they help against the glare too..
