Members sherlockian100 Posted October 15, 2012 Members Report Posted October 15, 2012 Hopefully, soon I will start designing my own purses, but I'mstill learning how to construct them. So, I can come up with my own designs. I am however struggling with applying STAIN evenly, without having blotchy spots. I posted a thread under dyes, asking for help. If anyone can offer how they apply stain stain, to get even results, I would appreciate it so much. I am taking lessons, but have not gotten to coloring yet. Members Wishful Posted October 15, 2012 Members Report Posted October 15, 2012 I am going to try airbrush for that reason. I know there are several threads on that. Quote
Members benlilly1 Posted October 15, 2012 Members Report Posted October 15, 2012 Wishful is right...airbrushing is great. I've found that unless you soak the leather all over with dye it will be blotchy. It's that first applying with your applicator loaded with dye that starts all the blotchiness. I feel for you. Dying is when I get anxious because you're at the end of your project. Quote
