Members yutaoy Posted November 7, 2012 Members Report Posted November 7, 2012 Hi Leatherworker! I'm totally newbie, have been reading on here for long time. cause want to get a right sewing machien to start to make something at home, like bag, purse, cases. my budget was around 300 dolloars, but now I realized it's impossible to get one to working on leather. I looked online and saw 3 machines, hope you guys can help me 1. Consew 206RB, it doesn't say is RB1 or 2 ..., has stand and 1/2 hp motor, cording foot, welt set of feet, bobbins and needles. 2. Juki lu-563, pretty good condition. 3. Mitzi LU401BCT, It has a 200 watt 110v motor. I searched this machine, seems not many people use it. so which one should i choose? man, can't wait to make something at home, but I know still has a long road to walk ... help me please! Quote

CowboyBob Posted November 7, 2012 Report Posted November 7, 2012 The Consew or Juki would be the best bet. Quote Bob Kovar Toledo Industrial Sewing Machine Sales Ltd. 3631 Marine Rd Toledo,Ohio 43609 1-866-362-7397

Moderator Wizcrafts Posted November 8, 2012 Moderator Report Posted November 8, 2012 Thank you Sewmum! what 5 numbers means after Consew RB 1, 2, 3, 4, 5? or and just Consew RB ( without a number ) ? The number after the RB- designates the generation of that machine. The current generation is RB-5 Quote Posted IMHO, by Wiz My current crop of sewing machines: Cowboy CB4500, Singer 107w3, Singer 139w109, Singer 168G101, Singer 29k71, Singer 31-15, Singer 111w103, Singer 211G156, Adler 30-7 on power stand, Techsew 2700, Fortuna power skiver and a Pfaff 4 thread 2 needle serger.
