Hello and happy holidays everyone. I am sure all your hands are as swollen as mine getting all your gifts ready.

I have a question about needles I can use for a consew 255 Rb-2. Been using the standard leather point 16's and up but I want to drop down to a 14 or smaller if possible.

Any insight would help.

Thanks so much,

Rich

Make sure that the thread doesn't bind in the eye of the #14 needle. This might be a tight fit for #69 thread, unless it is wound and bonded tightly.

Ok if you have a Servo motor and can slow down the needle speed.

Thanks everyone, I will give it a try. Wiz, I was planning to go with a 33 or 46 thread with the 14 needle. I have a servo from bob and I think it might work out.

Best,

A #14 needle will pass #46 thread quite easily. You may be able to even use a #12 needle with that thread. I think a #10 or 11 needle will be fine with #33 thread. But, reduce the tensions on top and in the bobbin, to avoid breaking the tiny thread.
