Members Aurelie Posted December 10, 2012 Author Members Report Posted December 10, 2012 very nice............I want a lacemaster....wish I could find a used one!! I grant you : this lace maker costs literally an eye ...even more with shipping fees, customs.... BUT this worthes TOTALLY the cost! i bought it before starting messing around with braiding => it was useful but NOW i started braiding, i find it to be a "have to" => easier, quicker cheaper and you can make your own lace ! Members Aurelie Posted January 2, 2013 Author Members Report Posted January 2, 2013 Hi Guys, During vacations....i had a mind for "scientific tests" and i tried several other belts.... body : veg tanned leather dyed black or brown and same lacing on every of them but not always the same king of leather (and mark my word : lacemaker is fabulous :D ) but funny thing : the braiding does not look the same on each of them !!! several pics to come (not all finished yet So far, my favorite is still the very 1st one :D ....maybe i really going to keep it for myself this one , the braiding is done with pigskin Keep tuned buddies! and by the way : I wish you all a terrific year 2013! Members mikesmith648 Posted January 2, 2013 Members Report Posted January 2, 2013 You should make a tutorial on how to do the lacing on that belt..........I for one would be grateful Quote Emergency Room Nurse by profession.......Leatherworker at heart!! Members Aurelie Posted January 2, 2013 Author Members Report Posted January 2, 2013 Hi Mike! This braiding comes from the "Encyclopedia of Rawhide and Leather Braiding" from Bruce Grant's(i can't remember who told me to buy it...but i thanks that person! neat advice!) This book is a "must have" along with the Lacemaker :D It's a big book (528 pages) , not fun at all (black and white) but FULL of a lot of different braiding styles with pictures to illustrate and written explanations (in english) If i can go through that ...i guess that everybody can (even my hubby who does not speak english can do something with the pictures only :D ) You can find that book on Amazon (not brand new) for a few bucks Quote In for a penny, in for a pound....
